About the department

The Department of International Relations is considered a specialized department in the Faculty of History, Law and International Relations, and plays an important role in studying the system of modern international relations, prospects for the development of international problems, priorities for achieving the goals of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, the foundations of the concept of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The main goal of the department is to find a deep understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the country's foreign policy in the minds of students, critical issues of international relations, and the ever-increasing changes in the international arena, unprecedented and intense clashes of geopolitical interests of superpower countries, etc.

The most important task of the teachers of the department is the education of a self-aware and patriotic personality, with high civic responsibility, possessing modern knowledge and outlook and the ability to analyze the complex processes of today's world.

History of the department

From 01.09.2023, the department of law and international relations was divided into 2 departments (the department of law and the department of international relations).  Murodova Gulchehra, candidate of political sciences, associate professor was appointed the head of the international relations department.

The department of international relations works according to 1 scientific trend, 1 problem.

Scientific approach: International relations

Problem: Theoretical and practical aspects of the formation of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the new system of international relations.

Topic: The role and status of the Republic of Tajikistan in the new system of international relations

The department specialises in International Relations where faculty members teach 15 academic subjects over two semesters at the bachelor's level.

The activities of the circle and the seminar of the department

The "Diplomacy" club operates in the department, and according to the plan, the club is held once a month. The clubs attract students who are interested in diplomacy and international relations. The scientific topics heard by the students are presented by the scientific leaders, and they cover the important topics of modern times.

There are 25 members of the "Diplomatiya" club, and the head of the club is Safarov Hakimsho. The course of the club is constantly posted on the Facebook website.
