SAFARZODA Munir Vatan (Safarov Munir Vatanovich) date of birth: March 11, 1987, Kulob city, Khatlon region;, ethnicity: tajik, education: higher education – Software Engineer, Economist, Candidate of pedagogical sciences (2014), associate professor (2020), lecturer; titles and awards: Excellence in Education and Science of Tajikistan, Excellence in Culture of Tajikistan, Laureate of the “Young Scientist - 2013” Award from the Youth, sports and tourism affairs department under the government of the republic of Tajikistan for the Khatlon region.

Safarzoda Munir Vatan was born on March 11, 1987, in the city of Kulob, Khatlon region, into an intellectual family. He began his primary education in 1994 at secondary School №5 in Kulob. From 1996 to 2000, he studied at Lyceum №1 named after Ismoili Somoni in Kulob. In 2000, he continued his education at the Tajik-Turkish joint lyceum in Kulob, which he successfully graduated from in 2005.

In 2005, he enrolled in the Kulob branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan (currently the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Management in Kulob), graduating in 2010 with a degree in Software Engineering. In 2014, he began studying in the Faculty of Economics and Management at Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki (part-time studies), graduating in 2016 with a degree in Economics.

In 2010–2011, he worked as a translator for the non-governmental organization "Zarshedabonu"; in 2011–2012, as an assistant at the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies of Kulob State University (KSU) named after A. Rudaki; in 2012–2013, as a specialist at the Registration and Credit System Center (RCSC) of KSU; in 2013–2014, as the chief specialist of the RCSC at KSU; in 2014–2016, as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at KSU; in 2016–2019, as Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at KSU; in 2020–2022, as Head of the Distance Learning Center at KSU; in 2022–2023, as Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at KSU; and in 2023–2025, as Vice-Rector for educational work at KSU.

According to Resolution №309 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated May 28, 2025, he was appointed as the Rector of the State Educational Institution “Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki.”

Associate Professor Safarzoda M.V.’s research focuses on studying the influence of computer modeling on the development of students' logical, creative, and analytical thinking. In this field, he investigates effective methods and approaches for using computer modeling in the educational process, particularly in exact and technological subjects, with the aim of enhancing students’ problem-solving skills using computers and increasing their cognitive engagement. In 2014, under the academic supervision of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor A. Komili, and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Sh. Yunusov, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation on the topic: “Computer Modeling as a Key Factor in the Development of Students’ Thinking in Solving Computer-Based Problems”. He is the author of 4 monographs, 6 educational and methodological manuals, and over 80 scientific articles.

For his many years of impeccable service in the field of education, significant contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation, training of qualified specialists, and active participation in public life, Associate Professor Safarzoda M.V. was awarded the badges “Excellence in Education and Science of Tajikistan,” “Excellence in Culture of Tajikistan” (2018); for his scientific achievements, he was awarded the “Young Scientist – 2013” Prize by the Youth, sports and tourism affairs department under the government of the Republic of Tajikistan for Khatlon region, and received Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation from the Executive Body of State Power of the Khatlon Region, the Executive Body of State Power of the city of Kulob, and the university administration.
