The Press Center of the State Educational Institution "Kulyab State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaki" is an integral part of the university and was established in 2020.

Throughout its existence, the center has been led by talented staff and experienced specialists. In particular, Zafar Mirzoyon, a philologist and honorary professor at the university (2020-2021), and Jakhongirshoh Rustamshoh, a candidate of philological sciences and associate professor (2022-2023), have made significant contributions to promoting the center's activities.

Since January 2024, Muhammadjoni Abduvohid, a senior lecturer and member of the Institute of Journalism and Tourism, has headed the university's press center, playing a significant role in promoting the university's activities, enriching the information space, ensuring access to information, and enhancing public relations.

Prior to the center's establishment, Sharofat Khudoydodova, an associate professor and press secretary (2010-2020), was responsible for the development of this area.

The legal basis for the center's activities is the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, regulatory legal acts governing the media, instructions and orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, regional and city executive authorities, orders of the university rector, the Press Center Regulations, and others.

The center's activities are carried out directly by the university rector, the vice-rector for science and innovation, as well as in collaboration with other university departments and divisions, its faculties, local executive authorities, media outlets, public organizations, and associations directly interacting with the media. These activities are regulated by annual plans and direct instructions and orders of the university rector.

It should be noted that the center oversees the activities of the university's official website (https://new.kgu.tj/tj (created in 2015, address kgu.tj)) and serves the purposes of ensuring access to information and conducting information warfare to protect national interests, in particular the security of the state and society. Ensuring information security is one of the main activities of the university's press center.

The center's collaboration with print and electronic media is constantly expanding, and university website materials are widely used by news agencies and other media outlets as a reliable source.

To enhance the university's information space and align it with international public relations standards, in April 2023, under the direct direction of the university's rector, Professor Rahmon Dilshod Safarbek, the university's website was updated to comply with the requirements of the Uniform Rules for the Design of Official Websites (Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated July 10, 2017, No. 344). The website design incorporates modern website development tools. To preserve the university's history, the website was preserved and relocated to a new site. The website features an attractive design adapted for desktop and mobile devices. The website is maintained by the TARENA provider, which includes a 20 Gbps VPS server running Debian and a LAMP stack.

As part of this process, in order to implement the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, regarding the study of Russian and English, as well as to increase the interest of international applicants in studying at the university and familiarizing them with the activities of its structures, the website and its information are being gradually adapted into Russian and English, with the involvement of specialists.

The number of website visits from January 1, 2024, to October 15, 2024, was 52,156, averaging 181 visitors per day. During this period, 419 materials were published on the website in 15 categories, reflecting various aspects of the university's activities.

To adapt to modern requirements and attract the maximum number of users of the university website, a dedicated page for the State Educational Institution "Abuabdullo Rudaki Kulyab State University" is operating on the social media platforms Facebook and Telegram, where the university's events and activities are promptly covered.

The purpose of these pages is to inform the public about new and relevant news in the fields of education and upbringing, science and innovation, international relations, and other aspects of the university's activities.

It is worth noting that on March 11, 2024, in the city of Bokhtar, following the results of the regional "Power of Speech" competition, the institution's official website (www.new.kgu.tj), given its systematic work, was recognized as a first-place winner and laureate of the Khatlon Region Chairman's Prize, and was awarded a first-place diploma and a cash prize.

The activities of the center are carried out directly by the rector of the university, the vice-rector for science and innovation, as well as in cooperation with other departments and divisions of the university, its faculties, local structures of executive bodies of state power at the local level, the media, public organizations and associations that directly interact with the media, and are regulated on the basis of annual plans and direct instructions and orders of the rector of the university.
