About the department

The department “Accounting and Audit” was formed in accordance with the order of the rector of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki  #13 date July 29, 2021 and is an integral part of the structure of a higher professional educational institution that conducts scientific, scientific and methodological work among students and teachers.

Teachers of the department conduct classes at different faculties, depending on the disciplines established by the department. The department has 10 teachers engaged in research, teaching and educational work. 4 senior teachers: Odil Ibrohimzoda, Amirali Safarov, Gulahmad Davlatov and Parviz Safarov. One clerk, 4 main assistants, and one main assistant - candidate of economic sciences, associate professor N.K. Kuganov. Currently, the department is headed by Ph.D. dotsent N.K. Kuganov.

History of the department

The department "Department of Accounting and Audit" was created on the basis of the former departments - the department "Theory of Economics", which was headed by candidate of economic sciences, associate professor N. Kuganov.           

According to the order of the rector of the Kulob State University named after A. Rudaki # 57 dated April 6, 2014, the department of Finance and Credit was created on the basis of the faculty of Finance and Economics with two specialties: “Accounting, analysis and audit in budgetary and scientific organizations” and "World Economy".

Currently, these two departments have merged into the department of Theory of Economics and Finance, formed by the order of the rector of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullokhi Rudaki # 13 dated January 16, 2018 and trains industry specialists in the specialties “Finance and Credit”, “Taxes and Taxation”, “Banking”, “Accounting, analysis and audit in budgetary and scientific organizations”, “World economy”.

The activities of the circle and the seminar of the department

The department has a scientific seminar and a circle “Professional Accountant”. Club meetings are held twice a month. At the University level, the department organized and held 6 republican conferences: “The role and importance of investments in the development of the national economy”, a conference on the topic “Improving the financial knowledge of youth”, dedicated to the Year of Youth, “The role of national unity in the development of the economy”.

The role of the teaching staff of the department is also noticeable in holding university-wide, city and regional conferences. According to the work plan of the scientific-theoretical and methodological seminar of the department, seminars on various topical topics are held 4 times a month.
