The Faculty of Education and Culture was established in 1968, which included the departments of teaching methods of primary classes, pedagogy and psychology, and is making a valuable contribution to the training of teachers of preschool institutions and primary classes of general secondary education institutions.
The teaching staff of the Faculty of Education and Culture, consisting of 2 doctors, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Izzatova M.I. and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Bozorov Kh. 8 docents, (7 main employees), 7 docents, Sheralieva S.M., Gulmatov M., Faizzoda B.F., Akbarzoda M.N., Rajabzoda D., Mirzoeva B.I., Jurakhonzoda G.S. 7 candidates of science (5 main employees) Farkhudinov I., Ph.D., Gulmadzoda U.F., Ph.D. Gaforov A., c.p.s. Yormadzoda A.J., n.i.p. Mahamadizoda A. M., n.i.p. Saadat Rahmonali, 1 external colleague c.p.s., Daminzoda A., 18 senior teachers (main employees), 19 assistants (17 main employees, 2 internal colleagues), 3 as laboratory assistants, 1 as a secretary, making a total of 57 teachers and teachers, have tried to fulfill the important responsibility of educating the young generation, who contribute to the fulfillment of a very important responsibility, the education and upbringing of the young generation, who are considered the future of the state and the nation.
In the academic year 2025-2026, 468 students, 344 girls, 124 boys, 239 students on contract basis, 232 students on budget and 15 students are studying according to the Presidential Quota. Also, 44 people are studying in the master's department of the faculty, of which 37 are girls and 7 are boys. Out of the total number of students of the master's department, 1 person is studying on a contractual basis and 43 are studying on a budget basis. 8 people at the doctorate level.
1,506 students, 1,471 women, 35 men, 1,010 students on contract, and 496 students on budget were studying in distance education.
In total, in the academic year 2025-2026, 2,375 students, masters and doctoral students are studying in full-time, distance education, master's and doctoral departments of the faculty.

In the academic year of 2025-2026, 145 people graduated from the faculty in full-time education, 347 people in distance education, and 12 people at the master's level, a total of 504 students and graduate students (23 educational groups) from various specialties, of which 4 students (full-time education) and 2 graduate students graduated from the university with an honors diploma.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the faculty has 14 majors: Preschool Education, Primary Education. Russian language, Preschool education, Primary education. Musical art, applied psychologist, defectology, deaf pedagogy. Preschool education, oligophrenopedagogy. Preschool education, Logopedia. Primary education, Librarianship and bibliography, Primary education. Visual arts, Logopedia. Primary education, preschool education. They are studying practical psychology. 229 students (14 educational groups) have been admitted to the full-time education of the faculty according to the above-mentioned specialties, of which 85 are studying through the budget, 8 through the Presidential quota, and 129 through the contract. In distance education, 9 students (1 educational group) have been admitted in the academic year 2025-2026, of which 9 are contracted, and in distance education 190 are budgeted, 34 are contracted based.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the faculty has 7 classrooms equipped with electronic boards. In seven classrooms equipped with electronic boards, teachers teach according to the timetable that is posted in these classrooms.

Department of Humanities and their teaching methods:
The Department of Humanities and their teaching methods has existed since 1969. The first teachers of the department were Saidahmad Isoev, Soat Chalishev, Karamatullo Qalandarov, Kugan Izatulloev, Yorali Sodikov, Odina Davlatov, Murodali Nabiev, Isroil Ismailov, Jumakhon Saidahmadov, Safar Najot.
Currently, the head of the department is c.p.s., associate professor, Jurakhonzoda G.S. is responsible.
Department of preschool education and social work:
Department of preschool education and social work. Historically, the department was founded in 1968 under the name of the department of "Pedagogy and Psychology" and currently operates under the name of the department of preschool education and social work. The following teachers have worked as the head of the department for many years: Mirzoev S.S., Hafizov S.B., Ibodov N., Izzatova M.I., Halimova D., Tabarova Z., Boyakhmadov Sh., Yuldosheva J., Daminova A. and others. Currently, the head of the department is associate professor Faizzoda B.F. are responsible.
Department of natural and mathematical sciences and their teaching methods:
The department of natural and mathematical sciences and their teaching methods was established in 2022. The teachers of this department are Akbarzoda M.N., Davlatov T., Gulmadov M., Anvarzoda D.A., Mavlonzoda S. and so on. Currently, the head of the department is c.p.s., Akbarova M.N.
In the 60s of the 20th century in the Socialist Republic of Tajikistan, the number of primary school students and children of preschool age is increasing. The demand for professional teachers of primary classes and employees and tutors of preschool educational institutions is increasing.
In order to provide professional specialists with primary classes and preschool institutions, in the academic year 1968-1969, the faculty of "Pedagogy" was established at the State Pedagogical Institute of the city of Kulob, which consisted of two departments: the department of teaching methods of primary classes with the specialty of a primary school teacher and the department of pedagogy and preschool psychology with the specialty of a kindergarten teacher and a teacher of pedagogy and preschool psychology.
In the 1968-1969 academic year, 150 students were admitted to the first courses of the faculty.
Out of this amount, 100 people are in the department of day education of two groups of MTI (50 people) and two groups of the department of pedagogy and psychology; 50 people in groups of MIT and preschool education in the correspondence education department.
In the academic year 1968-1969, departments were not yet established at the faculty, and the students were served by the teachers of the institute's departments. The first teachers of the faculty were Saidahmad Isoev, Saat Chalishev, Davlatmurad Rasulov, Yarkaeva Ganzia Sharipovna, Yorali Sodikov, Karamatullo Qalandarov, Kugan Izatulloev, Muradali Nabiev, Odina Davlatov, Israel Ismailov, Najot Safarov.
In the 1969-1970 academic year, the department of pedagogy and primary education methods was established at the faculty. In 1974, this department was named primary education method.According to the order of the rector of the university, Kadyrov K.B. from November 4, 2010, No. 124, the primary education methodology department was renamed the primary education department, which corresponded to the new name of the faculty "Faculty of Primary Education and Physical Education".
In 1973, the department of preschool education was established.
The faculty during the deanship years of Kalandarov K, Boboev T. B. achieved great success in the field of education and training of students and scientific-research works.
With the proposal of the dean of the faculty Rasulov D. a group specializing in biology, an educational group of primary education methods in the Uzbek language was opened at the faculty. The department of the Russian language of the faculty was established and candidate of philological sciences Saydahmadov Aymamad was appointed to the post of director. In this department, teachers V. N. Nikolaychuk, L.I. Norbekova, R.D. Hostikoeva, Saydaliev Dodarbek, Muradov Temur were active. On the initiative of the dean of the faculty Rasulov D. a department of pedagogy and psychology of primary education was established at the faculty, where candidates of pedagogical science Rasulov D, Kadirov K, Gulmadov F and others taught students about pedagogical and psychological subjects.
A number of teachers of the faculty, including Izatulloev K, Nabiev M, Ismoilov I, Qalandarov K, Izzatova M, Ibodov N, Mirzoev S, Dostov S, Mahmadalieva and others, along with teaching duties, carried out scientific-research activities, defended candidate theses, wrote textbooks, educational materials. By faculty teachers Izatulloev K, Ibodov N, Halimov G. Mathematics textbooks for elementary school students, Nabiev M.Textbook of modern Tajik literary language, Halimov D. co-authored the textbook "Art and Labor" and made it available to students and teachers.
Thus, in order to conduct all forms of education with students at a high quality, a stable base of pedagogical personnel has been formed.
It is worth mentioning that a group of teachers of the faculty have received high academic titles, including Arabov I. A. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Shodravon Kadirov K.B. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, academician of the Academy of Education of the Republic, cheerleader Afzalov Kh. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Shodravon Pahlavonov A., Izzatova M.I. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Gulmadov F., Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Shodravon Mustafokulov T., Candidate of Psychological Sciences.
Strengthening of the scientific and personnel base of the faculty led to an increase in the number of students. If in the first year of its establishment there were 4 groups studying in the full-time education department and 2 groups in the part-time education department, then in the 80s of the 20th century (the period when Rasulov D. held the position of dean) the number of day education groups reached 6 and part-time education groups reached 4 groups.
During the years of its activity, the faculty has brought up worthy people of the society; Halimov A., Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Izzatova M, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, I.V. Professor, Mustafokulov T, Associate Professor, Mirzoev A.
