On 15 September 2026, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization International Digital Economy Forum 2026 officially commenced in Urumqi, Peoples Republic of China.
Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki was represented at the international forum by Associate Professor Eraj Abdusamadzoda, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Bah¬riddin Rahmon Murodzoda, Head of the Department of International Relations.
During the forums main session, Associate Professor Eraj Abdusamadzoda delivered a presentation entitled “The Role of Universities in the Development of the Digital Economy,” emphasizing the importance of digitalizing higher education, integrating modern technologies into the teaching process, and preparing highly competitive professionals for the digital era.
The forum also addressed issues related to expanding scientific and academic cooperation among universities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, implementing joint digital projects, and promoting the exchange of international experience and best practices.
