CELEBRATION OF KNOWLEDGE DAY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR AT KULOB STATE UNIVERSITY

Today, 1 September 2026, Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki celebrated Knowledge Day in a festive atmosphere, following the education-centered policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

As part of the celebration, a meaningful meeting was held with the participation of the Chairman of Kulob City, Pirzoda Dilovar, together with the Universitys faculty members, staff, and students. The event focused on the key messages of the President of the Republic of Tajikistans meeting with the countrys education community dedicated to Knowledge Day.

The ceremony was also attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, members of the University administration, academic staff, and students.

Opening the event, Chairman of Kulob City Pirzoda Dilovar congratulated the faculty and students on the beginning of the new academic year and wished them every success in their educational journey and personal development. He highlighted the continuous support provided by the countrys leadership to the education sector, emphasizing the growing importance of science and the constructive role of young people in building a modern society. He encouraged students to pursue modern knowledge, make effective use of the opportunities available to them, and contribute to the progress of the nation and the state.

The Rector of the University, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, then addressed the audience. He noted that the nationwide Peace Lesson and the opening of the new academic year with the participation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, clearly demonstrate the State and Governments profound respect for peace, social and political stability, the high status of science and education, the dedicated work of teachers, and the aspirations of students and pupils-the future generation of the nation.

He further emphasized that Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, guided by the Leader of the Nations education and science policy, bears the responsibility of preparing highly qualified, patriotic professionals with a modern outlook and continues to implement effective measures to create a high-quality educational environment.

Continuing the program, Kholiqzoda Safar, Candidate of Chemical Sciences and Associate Professor, delivered a presentation highlighting the principal ideas of the Presidents address to the education community. He stressed that the development of natural and exact sciences, the preparation of competitive specialists, the improvement of educational quality, and the integration of modern technologies are among the foremost priorities of higher education institutions.

On behalf of the first-year students, Valiyeva Mijgona, a freshman from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, expressed sincere gratitude to the countrys leadership and the Universitys faculty for providing favorable conditions for learning. She stated that the new generation of students would make the best use of these opportunities, strive to master modern knowledge, and dedicate their efforts to serving their beloved homeland.

The celebration concluded in a spirit of patriotism, respect for national values, and optimism for new academic and scientific achievements, marking a meaningful beginning to the 2026-2027 academic year.
