THE ROLE OF NATIONAL UNITY IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY

At the Hall of the Centre for Professional Development and Innovation of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, the Faculty of Geography and Digital Economy organized a round table entitled “The Role of National Unity in the Sustainable Development of the Country”, dedicated to the National Unity Day. The event was attended by the faculty administration, heads of specialized departments, and members of the academic staff.

At the beginning of the event, Associate Professor Rasulzoda Lutfiya, Head of the Universitys Department of Science and Innovation, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing that National Unity is one of the most significant historical achievements of the Tajik people. She noted that it is precisely due to peace, stability, and national cohesion that the Republic of Tajikistan is confidently moving along the path of development and progress. It was stressed that strengthening patriotism, national self-awareness, and safeguarding the achievements of State Independence are sacred duties of every citizen.

Subsequently, Associate Professor Ibragimova Rukhshona, Dean of the Faculty, stated that National Unity, as a key factor in the sustainable development of the state, has created favourable conditions for the advancement of all spheres of public life, including science and education, the economy, and the social sector.

Thereafter, Associate Professor Rahmatzoda Umed, Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Management, delivered a presentation entitled “Features of Attracting Foreign Investment to the Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan”; Associate Professor Davlatzoda Sherali, Head of the Department of Geography and Tourism, presented a report on “Tourism Development and Its Advantages for the National Economy”; and Associate Professor Nazarov Murodali, Head of the Department of Enterprise Economics and Entrepreneurship, delivered a presentation entitled “Digital Economy and Its Role in Ensuring Food Security”.

During the presentations, it was emphasized that the atmosphere of peace, stability, and National Unity has created favourable conditions for the development of the countrys economy, attraction of foreign investments, expansion of the tourism sector, and implementation of modern digital technologies. Participants noted that preserving and strengthening National Unity, respecting national values, and contributing to the prosperity of the Motherland are important responsibilities of every citizen, particularly young people.
