PRELIMINARY MEETING HELD WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF SIGNING A PROTOCOL OF INTENT ON COOPERATION AT THE UNIVERSITY

Today (22 June 2026), Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki hosted a preliminary meeting within the framework of signing a Protocol of Intent on Cooperation between the University and the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, vice-rectors of the University, and Shukrona Akhmedova, representative of the partner institution.

In his opening remarks, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, Rector of the University, welcomed the guest and emphasized that the “open-door” policy implemented under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, has created favourable conditions for expanding international cooperation in the fields of science and education. It was noted that strengthening cooperation with reputable foreign institutions, including universities of the Russian Federation, is among the priority areas of the Universitys international activities.

For her part, Shukrona Akhmedova expressed gratitude for the warm reception and confirmed her institutions readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields of educational and scientific activity. She stressed that strengthening inter-university ties could significantly contribute to the exchange of experience, professional development of academic staff, and improvement of students professional training.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, implementation of academic mobility programmes for faculty members and students, organization of internships, implementation of joint research projects, and holding joint scientific events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Protocol of Intent on Cooperation aimed at further strengthening collaboration in the areas of academic exchange of faculty members and students, organization of internships, implementation of joint educational and scientific projects, and training competitive specialists.
