The administration of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki conducts its activities in accordance with the directives and instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the President of the country and Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the executive authorities of Khatlon Region and the city of Kulob. In this regard, all available resources and capacities have been mobilized to improve the quality of education, promote research activities, strengthen the material and technical base, and enhance institutional management.

To objectively assess current performance, analyze achieved results, and identify priorities for the upcoming period, the review of annual faculty reports commenced on June 16, 2026, in accordance with the schedule approved by the university administration. This initiative is being carried out as part of the assessment of the university’s performance during the 2025–2026 academic year and is aimed at a comprehensive evaluation of educational, research, student development, and administrative activities.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, vice-rectors, heads of departments and divisions, as well as faculty members and staff.

The reports of Associate Professor Zulfiyev Gadomad, Dean of the Faculty of Tajik Philology and Journalism, and Associate Professor Sharifzoda Khurshed, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, were presented first. During their presentations, the faculty leaders provided detailed information on educational and research achievements, student development activities, international cooperation, training of academic personnel, participation of faculty members and students in conferences, national and international competitions, and other areas of activity.

It was noted that alongside a number of significant achievements in improving educational quality, advancing research activities, and increasing student participation in scientific and cultural events, several issues still require further attention. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening research work, improving the use of modern educational technologies, expanding international partnerships, and enhancing student development initiatives.

During the discussion, participants exchanged views and presented constructive proposals aimed at improving performance indicators across various areas of activity.

In his remarks, Rector Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan emphasized: “The education-oriented and science-driven policy of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, has created favorable conditions for the development of education and the training of specialists capable of meeting contemporary demands. Therefore, every faculty member and employee of the university must contribute responsibly to the implementation of state policy and make greater efforts to improve the quality of education and advance scientific activity.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, specific instructions were provided to faculty leadership and academic staff regarding the improvement of educational, scientific, student development, international cooperation, digitalization, and community engagement indicators. It was emphasized that the effective use of available opportunities, responsibility, and initiative will be key factors in achieving even better results during the 2026–2027 academic year.

It should be noted that the review of annual faculty reports will continue according to the approved schedule, and the performance of other faculties will also be thoroughly assessed. The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen the university’s management system, ensure an objective evaluation of results, and promote the further development of educational, scientific, student development, and administrative activities.
