DIALOGUE OF CIVILIZATIONS – A FACTOR IN STRENGTHENING PEACE AND GLOBAL COEXISTENCE

Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki hosted a scientific and theoretical conference entitled “Dialogue of Civilizations and Its Importance in a Rapidly Changing World,” dedicated to the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, observed annually on June 10.

The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Kamolzoda Shodmon. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that in the context of globalization and rapid political and cultural transformations, strengthening dialogue among civilizations has become increasingly important as a key means of promoting mutual understanding, tolerance, peace, and stability.

The event continued with presentations by Vice-Rector for International Relations Ayubzoda Safar on “Digital Civilization and the Transformation of Human Values,” Head of the Department of Philosophy and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Hasanov Muhammadsaid on “The Philosophical Understanding of Culture and Civilization,” Philosophy Department lecturer Shokirzoda Ayoz on “Tajikistan and Its Role in Promoting a Culture of Peace and Dialogue among Civilizations,” and Sharofat Abdusattorovna Hakimova, Candidate of Geographical Sciences and Associate Professor at Termez State Pedagogical University, who delivered an online presentation entitled “Dialogue of Civilizations and Its Significance in a Rapidly Changing World.”

The speakers stressed that dialogue among civilizations is one of the most effective ways to prevent conflicts, strengthen mutual understanding among nations, and preserve cultural values in the modern world. Participants also highly appreciated Tajikistan’s role in advancing international peace initiatives and promoting a culture of dialogue on the global stage.
