REGULAR MEETING OF THE UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC COUNCIL HELD

Today, May 28, 2026, Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki held a regular meeting of its Academic Council for the 2025–2026 academic year under the chairmanship of the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan. Members of the Council and representatives of the university’s academic and scientific structures participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, important issues related to the implementation of the state language policy, quality of education, research activities, and current university affairs were discussed.

First, the issue entitled “The Status of the Implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan ‘On the State Language’ and the Implementation of the State Language Development Program for 2020–2030 at the University” was reviewed. A report on the matter was delivered by the head of the working group, Associate Professor Quvvatova Muhabbat, Head of the University-wide Department of Tajik Language. During the discussion, the activities of university structures regarding documentation in the state language, students’ language proficiency, and the organization of scientific and cultural events were assessed.

Next, the report of the working group on the state of the educational process, research activities, and documentation at the Faculty of History, Law and International Relations was presented. The head of the working group, Vice-Rector for Administration and Economic Affairs, Associate Professor Mukhtorzoda Mu’min, analyzed issues related to the quality of teaching, activities of scientific clubs, and faculty documentation, and provided specific recommendations for addressing certain technical and methodological shortcomings.

Within the current issues section, research topics of applicants and PhD doctoral students were reviewed and approved. In addition, matters related to the summer examination session, strengthening beautification activities, and other areas of university operations were discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector issued specific instructions to responsible structures and faculty deans regarding the transparent and high-quality organization of final state attestation examinations and the summer examination session, strengthening labor discipline, improving the quality of education, and enhancing innovative activities.
