RECOGNITION OF THE UNIVERSITY OLYMPIAD TEAM BY THE DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS OF KHATLON REGION

At Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, a ceremony honoring the members of the university’s Olympiad team was held by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of Khatlon Region within the framework of Youth Day of Tajikistan and World Football Day. The event served as a logical continuation of the cultural and entertainment program dedicated to Youth Day of Tajikistan and World Football Day held at the university.

During the event, the university rector, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, delivered a speech highlighting the remarkable achievements of the university’s Olympiad team at the Republican Olympiad among higher professional educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan. He highly appreciated the contribution of students and supervising lecturers to these significant accomplishments.

Sharifzoda Idibek, Deputy Head of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of Khatlon Region, also spoke about the youth-oriented policy of the state and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan aimed at supporting talented young people. He described the achievements of the university’s Olympiad team as a source of pride and a clear example of young people’s dedication to knowledge and continuous effort.

In this regard, it is worth noting that the Olympiad team of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki performed commendably in the final stage of the Republican Olympiad among students of higher professional educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan under the motto “He who is knowledgeable is powerful”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Competing among 46 higher educational institutions of the country, the team achieved second place in the overall team ranking by securing 15 awards, including 2 first places, 6 second places, 5 third places, and 2 certificates of merit.

This valuable achievement reflects the students’ high level of academic preparation, comprehensive knowledge, and continuous dedication, and is also the result of the effective work of academic mentors and the university’s favorable educational and scientific environment.

At the conclusion of the event, the university’s Olympiad team received a certificate of appreciation from the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of Khatlon Region, while the achievements of the students and the contribution of their academic mentors to the development of young people’s intellectual potential were highly recognized.
