HOLDING AN EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

On May 14, 2026, the State Institution “National Patent and Information Center” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held an educational and consultative seminar titled “Fundamentals of Intellectual Property” at Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki for students, postgraduate students, researchers, and academic staff.

At the beginning of the seminar, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Kamolzoda Shodmon, delivered a welcoming speech and greeted the guests and participants. He emphasized the importance of such educational events in enhancing legal awareness, developing scientific research activities, and encouraging young people to engage in invention and innovation. It was noted that the protection of intellectual property is one of the key factors in the development of science and technology in the modern world.

During the seminar, Sorboni Saidjalol, Head of the Department of State Examination of Inventions and Industrial Designs of the institution, delivered a presentation on “Intellectual Property and the System of Its State Registration.” He provided detailed information on the importance of protecting intellectual property, the procedures for registering inventions, and its role in the development of scientific and innovative activities.

In addition, Sharifov Soatullo, Chief Specialist-Expert of the Department of State Examination of Inventions and Industrial Designs, delivered a presentation on “Procedures for Preparing and Submitting Applications for Patents and Preliminary Patents.” He explained the rules for preparing documents, submitting applications, and the procedures for obtaining patents.

It was emphasized that holding such educational seminars plays an important role in improving legal literacy, developing inventive activities, and attracting young people to scientific research work.
