HOMAGE TO HARD WORK

The administration of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, guided by the educational policy and wise instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, is implementing necessary measures to ensure favorable conditions for education and upbringing.

In this direction, in accordance with the action plan dedicated to the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expanding Construction and Development Works and Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness,” as well as in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, on 14.05.2026, an academic classroom named after the late educator, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Kurbon Talbakov was inaugurated at the Faculty of Tajik Philology and Journalism of the university.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the university, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, Associate Professor Saodat Sharifkhodzhaeva, vice-rectors, faculty deans, lecturers, and relatives of the late teacher. The participants were introduced to the conditions of the newly established classroom.

In their speeches, the administration and participants emphasized that the renovation and establishment of this classroom, along with other similar educational spaces, were carried out within the framework of the university’s development initiatives and equipped with modern teaching technologies.

It was also noted that Associate Professor Kurbon Talbakov was one of the devoted educators and intellectuals who dedicated his life to the development of education, training of highly qualified specialists, and strengthening the scientific and educational foundation. He is considered one of the founders of the modern system of foreign language teaching at Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki and made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Foreign Languages and New Technologies Center, as well as the opening of the Faculty of Foreign Philology.

With his broad worldview, strong organizational skills, and high professional responsibility, he successfully created a supportive academic environment and trained numerous specialists who are now working in scientific, educational, and governmental institutions. His dedication during the difficult years of civil unrest, introduction of modern educational technologies, and involvement of experienced educators reflect his deep commitment to science and education.

The name and work of Kurbon Talbakov are respectfully remembered in the university’s history as a symbol of a true educator, mentor of youth, and initiator of foreign language education development.

Overall, the establishment of such classrooms represents respect for the dedication of educators and serves as a logical continuation of the educational policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, who consistently pays special attention to enhancing the status of teachers and the development of science and education in society.
