REGULAR MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL HELD

At Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, a regular meeting of the Academic Council for 2026 was held in order to implement in practice the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in the field of science and education. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University and attended by Council members and responsible officials.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of the University, Professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, congratulated the university’s students, master’s students, and PhD doctoral candidates on their victories in the republican competitions “Young Researcher and Inventor,” “Master’s Student of the Year,” and subject olympiads. In a solemn ceremony attended by members of the Academic Council, they were awarded certificates and honors.

Further, according to the agenda, important issues related to the quality of education, scientific research activities, implementation of state programs, and the educational process at the faculties were discussed and decisions were made.

First, the Head of the Department of Science and Innovation, Rasulzoda Lutfiya, delivered a report on the issue of the implementation of the “Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation until 2030” (Government Resolution of June 30, 2021, No. 263).

Then, the Head of the Academic Affairs Department, Saidzoda Kurbonali, presented a report on the status of personal and academic documents of graduates of bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs, as well as preparations for examinations and final certification.

The report of the head of the working group, Ibrohimi Yusuf, on the state of the educational process, research activities, and documentation at the Faculty of Finance and Economics was also heard and discussed.

In addition, the head of the working group, Kholmatov Bahrom, presented detailed information on the state of the educational process, research work, and documentation at the Faculty of Geography and Digital Economy.

Members of the working groups provided comprehensive information regarding the quality of classes, implementation of curricula, scientific activities, and documentation procedures. Members of the Academic Council offered specific recommendations for eliminating certain shortcomings and improving overall efficiency.

Under current issues, dissertation topics for doctoral and candidate degrees of a number of lecturers, employees, applicants, and researchers of the university were discussed and approved. Vice-rectors in charge of education, science, international relations, student affairs, and administrative affairs also presented reports on current matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector gave specific instructions to responsible officials on strengthening academic discipline, improving the quality of teaching, intensifying scientific research, and ensuring the timely implementation of state programs.
