A literary event titled “How Classics Retain Their Relevance” was held at the Faculty of Russian Philology of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki. The event was organized within the framework of the State Program “Improvement of Teaching and Learning Russian and English Languages in the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030” and aimed at enhancing students’ literary appreciation and deepening their understanding of classical literary heritage.
The event began with presentations about classical writers and poets, during which participants shared interesting facts about their lives and works. The cultural part of the program continued with dance performances by students, adding a vibrant atmosphere to the event.
Students then showcased their artistic talents through theatrical performances, monologues, and excerpts from well-known classical works. A special highlight of the program was a romance based on the poetry of Anna Akhmatova, which added a unique emotional tone to the event. This program allowed participants to perceive classical literature from a new perspective and appreciate its relevance in the modern world.
At the conclusion, Anvar Sharipov, Head of the Department for Educational Affairs and Associate Professor, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of such events in the moral and spiritual development of youth.
It should be noted that organizing such literary events plays a significant role in broadening horizons, developing creative thinking, and fostering respect for cultural heritage.
