On April 17, 2026, a round table was held at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Culture of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, organized by the Department of Natural and Mathematical Sciences and Teaching Methodology. The event was titled “The Application of Active Teaching Methods in Mathematics as a Way to Enhance the Engagement of Primary School Students.” It was dedicated to the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expansion of Creative and Development Works and Strengthening National Self-Awareness,” as well as the “Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in Science and Education (2020–2040),” and was attended by faculty members and students.
The event began with an opening speech by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Mahram Akbarzoda, who noted that the implementation of active teaching methods in mathematics lessons is one of the key factors in improving the quality of education, developing logical thinking, and increasing the engagement of primary school students.
Then, Senior Lecturer Tolkun Davlatov presented a report on “The Development of Didactic Games in Teaching Mathematics as a Way to Engage Primary School Students,” Assistant Lecturer Muhammaddovud Zarifov spoke on “Methods of Teaching Mathematics in Primary School,” and first-year student Rayhona Davlatzoda delivered a presentation on “Methods and Tools for Improving the Knowledge Level of Primary School Students in Mathematics”.
