“Science Week” was held from April 6 to April 13 in line with the wise policy of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. The event was dedicated to Tajik Science Day and the implementation of key national initiatives, including the declaration of 2025–2030 as the “Years of Development of the Digital Economy and Innovation,” 2020–2040 as the “Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences,” 2026 as the “Year of Expansion of Construction and Improvement Activities and Strengthening of National Self-Awareness,” as well as the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Safarzoda Munir Vatan, vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments, faculty members, students, and media representatives.

In his speech, the Rector emphasized that “Science Week” served as an important stage that clearly demonstrated the intellectual capacity, scientific potential, and creative outlook of the university community. He noted that the event not only highlighted the valuable contributions of teachers and researchers to the development of science and the training of highly qualified specialists but also strengthened the university’s position in the national scientific and information space.

Referring to the words of the Leader of the Nation, it was noted that “the 21st century is an era of rapid scientific and technological progress, and a state that relies on science ensures a stable future, as science is the foundation of socio-economic and cultural development.”

It was proudly emphasized that in independent Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the Head of State, special attention is given to science and education, making them key priorities of state policy.

The results of “Science Week” at the university reflect the successful implementation of this policy. In total, 957 scientific articles were presented by 429 teachers, 24 PhD candidates, 169 master’s students, and 335 students. Among them, 76 best reports were selected and awarded certificates of appreciation from the university administration.

The Rector also stressed that supporting science and researchers will remain a priority. In this regard, starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, it is planned to introduce free publication of monographs and doctoral dissertation abstracts funded by the university.

During the discussion session, speakers Zulfiyev Gadomad, Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Tajik Philology and Journalism, and Kholikzoda Safar, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and its Teaching Methodology, highly praised the organization of the event. They noted that “Science Week” became a true platform for knowledge enhancement and experience exchange due to its wide scope, rich content, and high academic level. It was emphasized that effective coordination, active participation of researchers, and a supportive environment for open scientific dialogue were key factors of success.

At the end of the event, the university administration awarded certificates of appreciation to veteran teachers for their significant contributions to science and education, as well as to faculty members and students for their outstanding scientific presentations.
