HONORING TEACHERS AND IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL CONDITIONS AT KULOB STATE UNIVERSITY

At Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, in line with the educational policy and guidance of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, aimed at improving teaching and learning conditions, several new classrooms have been put into operation. This initiative contributes to enhancing the quality of education and recognizing the valuable work of teachers.

This effort is being implemented within the framework of the action plan dedicated to declaring 2026 as the “Year of Expansion of Construction and Improvement Works and Strengthening National Self-Awareness,” as stated in the President’s Address to the Supreme Assembly on December 16, 2025.

On April 1, 2026, at the Faculty of Finance and Economics, several classrooms were opened and named after prominent economists. In particular, the specialized classroom of audit and revision was named after Professor Zarif Sharifov, the taxation classroom after Associate Professor Anna Konkova, and the customs activity classroom after the late Associate Professor Umarhon Abdurakhmonov. Participants also ознакомились with the modern educational environment, technical equipment, and facilities of the Department of Finance and Credit.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the university, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Munir Vatan Safarzoda, Doctor of Economic Sciences Professor Zarif Sharifov, Doctor of Historical Sciences Professor Mahmud Abdulloev, vice-rectors, deans, faculty members, and other guests.

Rector Safarzoda Munir Vatan emphasized that the newly established classrooms are equipped with modern educational technologies and provide a solid foundation for improving the quality of education, developing practical skills, and creating a favorable learning environment. Naming these facilities after distinguished educators reflects respect and recognition of their contribution to the development of education and training of qualified specialists.

Professor Zarif Sharifov, in his speech, highlighted that achieving high academic success requires continuous dedication to learning, as well as fostering patriotism and respect for national heritage.

Additionally, a productive meeting was held in the faculty council hall with the participation of Professor Zarif Sharifov, during which issues related to the development of the economic sector, improvement of education quality, and recognition of teachers’ contributions were discussed. The importance of such initiatives in strengthening the academic environment was emphasized.
