An information session was held at Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki within the framework of implementing the provisions of the “National Plan for Combating Human Trafficking for 2025–2027.” Representatives of relevant institutions, as well as faculty members and students, took part in the event.
The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Eraj Abdusamadzoda, who welcomed the guests and emphasized that preventing human trafficking and raising public awareness-especially among young people-is one of the important social issues. He noted that holding such events contributes to increasing students’ legal awareness and preventing negative social phenomena.
Afterwards, Behruz Bukhorizoda, representative of the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Human Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Police Lieutenant Colonel; Farrukhjon Safarzoda, Chief Specialist of the Department for the Protection of Children’s Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan; and Jamshed Haidarov, national expert on combating human trafficking, delivered presentations.
They provided detailed information on ways to prevent and combat human trafficking, protect the rights and interests of citizens-especially women and children-and on the measures taken in this field. The speakers explained, with specific examples, the issues related to human trafficking, its forms of manifestation, and ways to prevent such cases.
During the final part of the session, a question-and-answer discussion took place between participants and speakers. Students received useful information on legal issues and methods of protection from such crimes. The event was held in a constructive atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of increasing young people’s legal awareness in combating human trafficking.
