OPEN DAY – PRESENTATION OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AT KSU

On February 26, 2026, Kulob state University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki hosted an Open Day aimed at familiarizing secondary school graduates with the university’s academic opportunities and material and technical facilities. On this occasion, an exhibition of the university’s achievements, as well as those of its faculty members and students, was organized on the first floor of the administrative building. Approximately 400 school graduates from the cities and districts of the Kulob region attended the event. During the exhibition, prospective applicants were provided with informational and promotional materials about the university and its faculties.

Following the exhibition, an open meeting was held in the university’s cultural hall with the participation of the rector, associate professor Safarzoda Munir Vatan, vice-rectors, and deans of faculties.

In his welcoming speech, the rector greeted the guests and emphasized that the university is one of the country’s reputable higher education institutions in the training of teaching professionals. He noted that, within the framework of implementing the state policy in education and the directives of the Founder of peace and national unity - leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honourable Emomali Rahmon, and under the guidance of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the university consistently carries out important and effective initiatives. It was highlighted that the institution continuously works to enhance the professional competence of its teaching staff, strengthen its scientific capacity, improve curricula, and foster patriotism and national self-awareness among youth.

The Vice-Rector for academic affairs, associate professor Abdusamadzоdа Eraj, presented the university’s opportunities and achievements, stating that for the 2026–2027 academic year the university offers admission to 63 specialties across 10 faculties.

Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki has a modern dormitory equipped with all necessary facilities, as well as nine educational and service centers, including a Foreign Languages Center, the “Durakhshon” Educational and Advisory Center, and a Publishing and Professional Development Center. Classrooms are equipped with interactive boards and modern technologies; the university operates both traditional and electronic libraries with high-speed internet access, a Technology Park, specialized laboratories, training and production sites, and modern sports facilities. The academic process is conducted by 520 experienced lecturers, including professors, doctors, and candidates of sciences, reflecting the university’s strong academic potential.

At the end of the meeting, school graduates asked questions to the university administration and received detailed answers. After the session, applicants were guided to the faculties according to their chosen clusters to become more closely acquainted with the educational environment and infrastructure.
