Guided by the educational policy of the Founder of peace and national unity - leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honourable Emomali Rahmon, and within the framework of the declaration of 2025–2030 as the “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development,” Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki organized a scientific and theoretical conference entitled “The Role of Digitalization in the Development of a Green Economy: Challenges and Experience,” initiated by the Faculty of Geography and Digital Economy. The event brought together scholars and researchers from higher educational institutions of the city, faculty members, and students. In his opening remarks, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Kamolzoda Shodmon, emphasized the strategic importance of the digital economy as a key factor in efficient resource utilization and sustainable development.
The conference presentations addressed issues related to green economy management, the role of digitalization in ensuring sustainable national economic development, and its impact on food security. It was noted that the implementation of digital technologies in production management, natural resource monitoring, and the development of e-commerce increases economic efficiency while reducing negative environmental impact. During the discussion session, participants examined the opportunities and challenges of implementing digitalization strategies in modern conditions, highlighting that the digital economy provides a reliable foundation for the transition to a sustainable green development model.
