In light of the instructions and constructive initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, aimed at expanding activities on improvement, cleaning, greening, and beautification of every corner of the country, as well as within the framework of the “300 days of creation, construction and responsibility for the bright future of the Motherland” announced by the Chairman of Khatlon Region, collective субботники (community clean-up days) are regularly held at Kulob State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaki. These initiatives are aimed at improving the environment, strengthening the culture of cleanliness, and involving more young people in public activities.
In this regard, today, February 8, 2026, the teaching staff, students, and maintenance workers of the university took part in a collective clean-up to maintain cleanliness of the surroundings, including removal of fallen leaves, waste, and weeds, across the administrative building, academic facilities, and the cultural and recreational garden of the university named after Saydali Valizoda.
During the clean-up, sidewalks, the surrounding areas of the garden, spaces under flowers, bushes and trees, irrigation ditches, and the canal bed were cleared of debris. Specific measures were taken to improve the sanitary condition and aesthetic appearance of the environment. The participants, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, made a valuable contribution to this public initiative and once again supported the importance of environmental cleanliness and urban culture.
