HELD REGULAR MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL

At Kulob State University named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held in 2026 in order to implement the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, in the field of science and education. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University and attended by Council members and responsible officials.

During the meeting, important issues related to the quality of education, research activities, implementation of state programs, and the organization of the educational process at the faculties were discussed and decisions were made.

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Abdusamadzоdа Eraj, delivered a report on “The Status of Quality Assessment in Full-Time Education for the First Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year.” This was followed by a report from the Head of the Department of Science and Innovation, Rasulzoda Lutfiya, on the progress of research projects commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The issue of implementing the State Program for Training Highly Qualified Scientific Personnel for 2021–2030 was also reviewed. The Head of the Department for Training and Retraining of Academic Staff provided information on the admission of candidates to Master’s and PhD programs Vatanzoda Sherdil, as well as on the preparation and defense of dissertations.

In addition, a report by the working group on the state of the educational process, research activities, and documentation at the Faculties of Russian Philology and Foreign Philology was heard. The Council members provided specific recommendations to address identified shortcomings and improve efficiency.

Under current issues, the research topics of eight applicants and PhD doctoral candidates were reviewed and approved. Proposals from the Academic Affairs Office were discussed and relevant decisions were adopted. Vice-Rectors responsible for academic, research, educational, and administrative affairs also presented reports on current matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector issued specific instructions to responsible officials aimed at strengthening academic discipline, improving the quality of instruction, enhancing research activities, and ensuring the timely implementation of state programs.
